Watch: Intruder grabs Ariana Grande at Wicked: For Good premiere

Ariana Grande was confronted by a man who jumped a barrier at the Asia-Pacific premiere of Wicked: For Good in Singapore on Thursday.

Eyewitness video from the event at Universal Studios Singapore showed the man running towards Grande on the yellow carpet and putting his arm around her as she stood beside her co-star Michelle Yeoh.

Cynthia Erivo, who also stars in the film, stepped in as security rushed to pull the man away.

The man has been identified by several outlets as Johnson Wen, a social media figure known for posting videos of himself intruding at events.

According to Singapore court documents, the 26-year-old has been charged with one count of committing a public nuisance under Section 290 of the Penal Code.

Wen posted about the incident on Instagram on Thursday, appearing to claim responsibility and saying he had been released after an arrest.

Although no comment has yet been made by the film's producers or Grande's representatives regarding the security breach, the incident highlights security concerns at major premieres.
