Tell us three things about yourself?

If I wasn't an artist, I was going to be a lawyer.

I was in a church choir for most of my teenage years and they used to rehearse on a Saturday night which I hated but now I’m really glad I did it

I love Madonna.

How would you describe your music?

I would describe it as raw, honest, sometimes a little uncomfortable, but at its core, it’s pop music.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Lorde has always inspired me a bunch musically, whilst on the visual and performance side, Madonna has always been a huge guiding light in terms of being high energy and super creative. I want to write poetic lyrics but still put on a show on stage.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

It was Gracie Abrams in a 400-capacity venue in Leeds in 2021. I remember seeing how she made that venue feel so intimate and special and I really wanted that for myself one day.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Kate Bush - Hounds of Love.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Lie down - Saya Gray.

Favourite Lyric of all time?

"Don’t say that I’m happy, you know that I’m not, but at least I can say I’m not sad, cause hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have" - Hope is a Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me To Have by Lana Del Rey.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Causing a Commotion – Madonna.

Where can people find your music?

Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram, TikTok - all under alessi rose - I am truly inescapable.

Alan Corr
