Irish singer-songwriter Dave Lofts has released his new single, Drunk. We asked him the BIG questions . . .
Dave served in the Irish Defence Forces before becoming a musician and is now signed to B-Unique Music, home to Kingfishr, Charli XCX, Clean Bandit, David Guetta, Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, The Kaiser Chiefs, James Bay, and Primal Scream.
Speaking about Drunk, the singer, who has toured with Wolf Alice and supported The Wolfe Tones, says, "It's about a time in my life when alcoholism was at its full effect - loving somebody so much but having bad habits too.
"The partner putting up with the man’s bad habit is only affecting her, hence the line 'what’s gonna kill me is gonna kill you.’ It’s a nod to the reality of alcohol abuse, to wanting help, and to accepting the problem."
Dave plays 21 November - Galway, Róisín Dubh and 13 December - Ambassador Theatre, Dublin. Tickets are available here.
