New Irish dancing docuseries unveils trailer

The official trailer for Battle of the Irish Dancers, a new three-part documentary series set in the high-pressure world of competitive Irish dancing, has been unveiled.

The show, which is set to air on Sky Arts and NOW on 12 November, follows dancers and their teachers from Dublin, Birmingham and Newcastle-Upon-Tyne as they train, rehearse and compete on the road to the World Championships in Dublin.

From seasoned champions to first-time competitors, Battle of the Irish Dancers offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at the dedication, discipline and drama that define this global traditional dance form.

Produced by Big Mountain Productions. Jane Kelly and Philip McGovern serve as executive producers, Muireann McGinty is the series producer and Edel O'Mahony is the series director.

Battle of the Irish Dancers airs 12 November on Sky Arts and NOW.
