Ireland's Junior Eurovision Song Contest hopeful, Lottie O’Driscoll Murray, has debuted the video for her song Rúin.

The 14-year-old Cork native will represent Ireland in this year’s event in Tblisi, Georgia on 13 December following a nationwide search that saw hundreds of young people audition on the five-part TG4 series.

Lottie will now compete against seventeen other countries, including Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and last year’s winners Georgia to be named the winner of this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Rúin, which means 'secret’, was written by songwriting duo Ian James White and Nicky Brennan along with singer-songwriter and native Irish speaker Jenny Ní Ruiséil.

Lottie has been singing all her life, with the support of her mother Celine and grandmother Charlotte.

She has previously appeared on The Late Late Toy Show and performed at the Cork Opera House. Last year, she made it to the final stage of the national selection for Junior Eurovision on TG4, before narrowly missing out to Kilkenny’s Enya Cox Dempsey.

"She’s back better than ever and she’s definitely going to do it!", says her grandmother Charlotte.

Ireland is celebrating its tenth year in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, having first entered the competition with Aimee Banks in 2015. Ireland finished in fourth place in 2022 with Co. Down’s Sophie Lennon.

To celebrate the anniversary, TG4 will be airing a special programme on Sunday 7 December that will catch up with Ireland’s Junior Eurovision entries and see how the competition changed their lives.

You can help decide the winner of this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest by voting online at JESC.TV no matter where in the world you are. Plus, unlike the senior competition, fans can vote for their own country.
