Imelda May has announced extra dates on her upcoming Raised On Songs and Stories tour.

The Johnny's Got a Boom Boom singer is set to kick off her gigs in February 2026, with shows across Ireland.

The added dates will see May performing at Dublin's Vicar Street on 13 February and 1 March and at Belfast's Ulster Hall on 17 February. Tickets for the extra dates go on general sale this Friday, 7 November at 10am via Ticketmaster.

In a recent appearance on The Late Late Show, May opened up about her new documentary series Amhráin na nGael.

When Kielty said there is "a fear" around the Irish language, May agreed.

"There's fear, the shame," she said, adding that she was encouraged by sean-nós singer and ethnomusicologist Lillis O'Laoire while making the show.

"While I was talking to Lillis, I realized it's not my fault, it's not your fault that you don't speak Irish. It's not our fault - it was taken from us," she said.

She added: "I didn't wake up and learn to speak Irish as a child, and it's not my fault. And that's what gave me the way forward through it.

"He said, 'Get past your shame. It's not because you didn't pay attention in school. It's deeper than that.'"
