Singer and actress Hilary Duff has announced her first single in a decade, Mature.
The Lizzie McGuire star had been teasing fans in recent days with an online countdown and has now revealed that Mature will be released on Friday 6 November.
"So happy this is finally yours to hear," she wrote on Instagram. "Been keeping this one quiet too long. My new single Mature is out Nov 6."
Rolling Stone reports that Duff announced her return to music when she signed a new deal with Atlantic Records in September. Her last album, Breathe In. Breathe Out., was released in June 2015.
The American magazine says the 38-year-old has been in the studio with her musician husband Matthew Koma, who also worked on Breathe In. Breathe Out. and fronts the band Winnetka Bowling League.
Duff is set to star in a docuseries about her return to music, which will be directed by Sam Wrench, whose credits include Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter.
Speaking recently to US entertainment trade publication Variety, Duff said: "I always knew I was going to return to music.
"I needed to feel safe and I needed to have the right people in my corner and be absolutely 100 percent ready.
"Honestly, I needed to have 10 years of life under my belt. I needed a lot to say.
"This album feels like the inner workings of my brain and I really am so excited to connect with people again on that level, that very forward-facing level."
