Derry Girls' Jamie-Lee O'Donnell is one of the stars of Rebel Wilson's upcoming comedy Girl Group, with The White Lotus' Jennifer Coolidge and Sunset Boulevard's Nicole Scherzinger also part of the cast.
The film, which is now in production, sees Wilson quadruple jobbing as writer, director, producer, and star.
In Girl Group, Wilson plays "a pop-diva who's been kicked out of her own girl group's reunion tour and slapped with a sentence of court-ordered community service".
She then "seizes the chance to stage a comeback by coaching a group of misfit teen girls for a major record label audition".
The ensemble cast also includes Randall Park (WandaVision, Fresh off the Boat), Sheridan Smith (Mrs Biggs, Cilla), Guz Khan (Man Like Mobeen, The Gentleman), Loren Gray (Incoming, Outsiders), and Jolene Blalock (Star Trek: Enterprise), as well as Pussycat Dolls' singer Ashley Roberts, the Spice Girls' Melanie Chisholm, and All Saints' Shaznay Lewis, "who will form girlband Girlfriends alongside Wilson's character".
O'Donnell can currently be seen in Faithless on Virgin Media One and Leonard and Hungry Paul on BBC Two.
