The 2 Johnnies Late Night Lock In is returning to screens for a third series on RTÉ2 on Thursday night, with champion jockey Davy Russell, comic Russell Kane and reigning Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins among the guests.

The Tipperary comedy duo's unpredictable entertainment show airs weekly and features celebrity guests, live music, stand-up comedy and surprise visits to members of the public out and about on the streets of Ireland.

To kick off the brand new series, Russell will chat about broken bones and injuries through the years and being the designated driver on nights out, while comedian Kane will talk about celebrating his 50th birthday in Ibiza and making a conscious decision to optimise his fitness and health.

Cummins, an apprentice electrician, will reveal if the guys she works with are treating her any differently now she's the Rose of Tralee, and in the Parish Quiz Aisling from Killeedy in Co. Limerick will take on Tadhg from Nurney in Co. Kildare.

Johnny B said: "A comedian, a national hero and 2 Johnnies walk into a bar… it's can only be The Late Night Lock In. There’s no show like it on telly. It’s hot, sweaty and loose. The questions you’d only ask after a few jars, great Irish music and a pub full of nutters up for the craic."

Johnny Smacks added: "Somehow they’ve let us back on the telly for series 3, and this time we’re dragging the public into the madness with us. More craic, more chaos, and more people embarrassing themselves on national TV — including us.

"It’s the only show where your neighbour might end up blindfolded, eating cat food, and still call it a great night out. We’ve got brand new madness, even dodgier games, the return of The Parish Quiz and guests who should probably know better.

"So put on the kettle and get the good biscuits out we will see ya Thursday night on the telly."
