The RTÉ Choice Music Prize winner released their debut studio album, Before We Forgot How to Dream, in 2015.

Their albums, Grim Town, and If I Never Know You Like This Again followed in 2019 and 2022.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I have an extremely talkative dog called Blue, a big appreciation for chocolate chip cookies and I write songs.

How would you describe your music?

I think my music has taken many forms over the years but I've been trying to hone my voice lately. I guess I'd describe my music as honest and sometimes funny.

Who are your musical inspirations?

I return to the first Bon Iver album, For Emma, Forever Ago often.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

The first gig I went to was Avril Lavigne at The Big Weekend in Derry. I was seven or eight and my parents somehow snuck backstage to steal a 'used' water bottle from her dressing room to gift me (her biggest fan). On reflection, it's possible they could've just made that up.

What was the first record you ever bought?

For a long time, I would steal my brother's Linkin Park CD but when I started getting paid for the small cafe shows I was playing I'd go to HMV and buy whatever was on their 'recommended counter'. One of which was Funeral by Arcade Fire.

What’s your favourite song right now?

I've been listening to Summer's End by John Prine.

Favourite lyric of all time?

Impossible question. For now, it's "I was carried to Ohio in a swarm of bees, I never married, but Ohio don't remember me" From Bloodbuzz Ohio by The National

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be

Given that it's got me this far and still feels fresh, probably Blood Bank by Bon Iver.
