New comedy-drama series These Sacred Vows, starring a stellar Irish cast, is set to debut on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player next year. Check out some first look pictures of the show below.

Written and directed by award-winning Irish screenwriter John Butler, the series opens the morning after an Irish wedding on a Spanish island, when the body of a priest is found floating face-down in the swimming pool of the young guests’ villa.

Over the course of six episodes, the action jumps back in time to revisit the key events of a wild previous week, each from the perspective of a different character.

Tom Vaughan-Lawlor is eet to play Fr. Vincent, while India Mullen watches the chaos unfold as wedding party guest, Ava.

Mother-of-the-bride Sandra is played by Justine Mitchell, with Jason O'Mara taking on the role of father-of-the-bride, Jerry.

The ensemble cast also includes Adam John Richardson, Tom Hanson, Aoife Hinds, Shane Daniel Byrne and Catherine Bohart.

These Sacred Vows is one of nine drama productions for RTÉ filmed this year creating 142 hours of homegrown storytelling across screens in Ireland.
