Coming up today, the first episode of the second series of the environmental documentary The End of the World with Beanz and comedy drama Obituary, and the World Cup qualifier between Ireland and Armenia.

The End of the World with Beanz, RTÉ One, 7pm

Comedian and writer Martin 'Beanz' Warde is at the helm of this hit RTÉ docuseries, which sees the Galway native exploring how people are tackling some of the world's toughest challenges, from climate change and geopolitical conflict to culture wars. It's an insightful, interesting watch, and in tonight's season premiere he's joined by singer Samantha Mumba in LA in the aftermath of the recent wildfires.

Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment, he said of meeting Mumba: "She's extremely likeable and so down-to-earth. She hasn’t lost that Irish charm and bit of banter."

Obituary, RTÉ One and RTÉ Player, 10.15pm

The second series of the excellent comedy drama Obituary, starring Siobhan Cullen and Ronan Raftery, kicks off on Tuesday night. The dark and twisty series sees Elvira's (Cullen) life spiral after the death of her father. As she grieves, Emerson (Raftery) – desperate to secure his future – strikes a secret deal with their ruthless new boss, Vivienne (Máiréad Tyers), for a shot at an editor job.

Meanwhile, Elvira's own career is threatened by a cunning intern who steals her stories and mocks Ward’s death.

European Qualifier for FIFA World Cup, RTÉ2, 7pm

In tonight's must-win European Qualifier for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Ireland face off oncemore against Armenia. Last month, the Irish team were humbled 2-1 in Yerevan by a side ranked 103 by FIFA, some 42 places below them. It's safe to say there are scores to settle as a result.

The match will take place at Dublin's Aviva Stadium, with kick-off at 7.45pm.

The Great British Bake Off, Channel 4, 8pm

Does comfort TV get any more comforting than this? In tonight's instalment of The Great British Bake Off the contestants take part in the first ever meringue week, tackling mini meringue tarts, soufflés and meringue ice cream cake.

In the latest episode of the new series of Stacey & Joe, Stacey Solomon heads off to Lake Como to launch a new beauty product, leaving her husband Joe Swash at home to manage the kids, a poorly pooch and a long list of chores.

Everybody Loves Me When I'm Dead, Netflix

This gripping-look Thai film, Everybody Loves Me When I'm Dead, premieres on Netflix on 14 October and invites viewers into a world where desperation, ambition, and family ties collide with the shadows of the underworld. Directed by Nithiwat Tharatorn, the film follows Toh (Theeradej Wongpuapan), a diligent bank employee and devoted father who is buckling under the pressure of mounting bills.

When his colleague Petch (Vachirawich Wattanapakdeepaisan) stumbles upon a dormant bank account containing 30 million baht — money left behind by a deceased client with no heirs — they end up pocketing the cash. But their plan quickly spirals out of control as they are drawn into a deadly game with dangerous criminals.
