Unsung alternative acts from all over Ireland are featured on the fifth volume of the independent Irish compilation series A Litany of Failures.
The album, which is now available on double vinyl and digital download, features tracks from 21 bands and solo artists, including Ana Palindrome, I Dreamed I Dream, and Landless and is the first in the series to be pressed by new Irish pressing plant Anthem Vinyl.
The album release is being celebrated with gigs and in-store performances in Dublin and Limerick.
Following acclaimed releases in the last year, RÓIS, Elaine Malone and Landless are included on the new album, while new acts such as I Dreamed I Dream, Stratford Rise and Ana Palindrome hint at more to come from these bands in future.
Conceived by Dublin musician Danny Carroll, Belfast-based Stevie Lennox and Limerick-based Paul O'Connor, the aim of the project is to bring DIY and independent artists together to collaborate and support each other.

Speaking about the latest volume in the series, he says, "A Litany Of Failures is produced because it seems blindingly obvious to do so. Across Ireland there is no shortage of exceptional experimental music, and in many ways this endeavour falls short of capturing all there is to experience.
"As with past compilations, Volume V documents at least some of the independent community and the wealth of creativity on offer - featuring brand new, exclusive tracks, as well as some debut releases from new projects and familiar faces."
The A Litany Of Failures series began with the cassette release of the EP Volume 1 in 2016, featuring Junk Drawer, Oh Boland, Shrug Life and That Snaake.
Further volumes included tracks by Junior Brother, Silverbacks, Problem Patterns, Elaine Howley, and Search Results.
Following an in-store show at Steamboat Records in Limerick, the album launch shows continue with gigs by Robbie Stickland and muckno on 16 October at Spindizzy Records in Dublin and gigs by Ana Palindrome, Stratford Rise, Hands Up Who Wants To Die on 17 October at Curveball, Dublin.
