"With this EP I wanted to really showcase both sides of my sound," Pagan says. "The hard, driving energy you find in techno, and the emotional pull of trance.
"Never Say Goodbye connects with people in a way I didn't expect and Fall Into Your Arms is my attempt to channel that same intensity but with an even faster, more urgent feel."
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I love Graeme McDowell, spreading misinformation, and Pastrami sandwiches.
How would you describe your music?
Obnoxious
Who are your musical inspirations?
Deadmau5, Paul Van Dyk, dj something, Addison Rae.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Calvin Harris and Tiësto in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast. We were 15 and the gig was 16+, so we got turned away at the door, even with the fake IDs we had made in my friend’s living room the day before. Then we switched our standing tickets for seated tickets and, on our second attempt, somehow got let in. Sat beside a guy whose arms were covered in tattoos that were mostly the names of DJs he'd seen or clubs he'd been to. Tiësto played Adagio For Strings and we both went nuts. Incredible night.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Chez Damier - Can You Feel It. Bought in Bikini Wax records during a trip to Berlin that I went on about four weeks before the first lockdown.
What’s your favourite song right now?
EssDeeKid - 4 Raws.
Favourite lyric of all time?
From KMT by Drake and Giggs: "Could have just slapped man, but he wanted it further (why?), Batman, da-na-na-da-na".
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A Tribe Called Quest - Electric Relaxation.
