Mondo discusses the charity job with Anto, but he is shocked by his response in Friday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
Anto is riddled with guilt over setting fire to the Rafferty development last year in a bid to help his daughter Hayley with her financial woes.
Mondo became trapped in the building when he went to rescue Alex and Ruby, but they all eventually made it to safety.
Mondo mentions the fire on Friday as he discusses the job with Anto.
"About the job..." says Anto.
"I'm looking forward to having you on board," smiles Mondo.
"I can't," replies Anto. "Get someone else."
