Fair City has brought fans behind the scenes of its recent anniversary episode and the car crash involving Hayley (Rebecca Grimes) and James (Matthew O'Brien).
The RTÉ One soap, which celebrated its 36th anniversary last month, had fans on tenterhooks over whether Hayley and James would survive.
They did - but the post-crash drama is still playing out in the current episodes.
In the video above, you'll hear from director Jim Shields, actors Rebecca Grimes (Hayley), Matthew O'Brien (James), Neilí Conroy (Sharon), Aisling O'Neill (Carol), Roxanna Nic Liam (Erica), Wesley Doyle (Doug), and Tina Kellegher (Ger), and members of the Fair City crew - from stunts to make-up.
"Everybody was fantastic, everybody all pulled together," says director Shields, "because they know this sort of event is very special."
Fair City airs on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
