A "TikTok teaching sensation" and a former school drop-out are among the teachers and pupils taking part in new Irish school-based reality TV series A Rebel Education: Inside Carrigaline Community School.
The four-part show debuts on Virgin Media Television this Sunday evening and brings life in a Cork secondary school to screens.

Filmed over the course of an academic year, A Rebel Education offers "unprecedented access to the real lives of students and staff at Carrigaline Community School", according to Virgin Media.
They add, "The new series offers an unfiltered and emotional look at life inside a modern Irish secondary school showcasing the trials and tribulations of teen life filmed over the course of an academic year in Cork".

Episode sees TikTok teaching sensation, Mr. Tadgh O'Donovan, take on the task of tackling social media’s impact on mental health with his transition year class.
We will also meet former school drop-out, Alannah, who faces the pressure of catching up for her Leaving Cert while Adele anxiously awaits her Junior Cert results while trying to prove to her parents that Transition Year was the right choice.
With big dreams of landing a role in the TY musical, she hopes to impress Carrigaline’s favourite former student and now teacher, Andy McGrath.

Also on Sunday’s opening episode, best friends Sadie and Giselle bring chaos to history class, but Giselle’s elite athletics career could be her ticket to a scholarship - if Mr. Burke can help her refocus academically.
