Virgin Media Television will air a new four-part series filmed over the course of an academic year in a Cork secondary school and told from the students' point of view.

A Rebel Education: Inside Carrigaline Community School premieres on Sunday, 12 October 12 on Virgin Media Play and Virgin Media One.

According to Virgin Media, the new series is "driven by a powerful 'no student gets left behind’ ethos and offers an emotional and eye-opening look at what school life is really like for young students in 2025.

"With unprecedented access to classrooms, corridors and staff rooms, the series follows Principal Burke and his passionate team - including TikTok teaching sensation Tadgh O’Donovan - as they guide students through the highs and lows of secondary school life."

The statement adds, "Told from the students’ point of view, the series captures the funny, messy, and often deeply moving moments that define teenage life.

"From classroom hijinks to life-changing events, audiences will find themselves totally immersed in the real stories of young people finding their way in a rapidly changing world.

"Set in a vibrant Cork community, A Rebel Education is produced with true Corkonian warmth and humour, exploring the universal themes of growing up, navigating teenage life, and the all-important pupil-teacher relationships that shape young futures."
