Dean confronts Mairéad, saying he can't continue living like this, in Thursday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
The affair drama comes after Mairéad cancels their hotel break at the last minute.
"Seems all we're doing is making us both miserable," says Dean.
"Well, I don't like it any more than you do," replies Mairéad as she shares her fears that telling the truth could push her husband Damien over the edge.
"Then maybe it's time we did something about it," says Dean.
