Prime Video has announced that its hit coming-of-age series The Summer I Turned Pretty will conclude with a feature film, written and directed by writer-creator Jenny Han.
The announcement was made on the red carpet at the series finale celebration in Paris on Wednesday evening.
"There is another big milestone left in Belly's (played by Lola Tung) journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due," said author and showrunner Han in a statement.
"I'm so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans," added Han.

The Summer I Turned Pretty is based on the series of books by Han, who also wrote To All the Boys I've Loved Before.
The three books, The Summer I Turned Pretty, It's Not Summer Without You, and We'll Always Have Summer, have been adapted into three seasons, which first aired in 2022 and came to a conclusion on Wednesday.
The coming-of-age series is centred around Isabel 'Belly' Conklin, played by Lola Tung, as she navigates growing older, from first loves to grief to going to university, all while being caught up in a love triangle with the Fisher brothers: Conrad, played by Christopher Briney, and Jeremiah, portrayed by Gavin Casalegno.

"The Summer I Turned Pretty has struck a chord with audiences everywhere, creating moments of joy, nostalgia, and connection that have made it a global sensation," said Courtenay Valenti, Head of Film, Streaming, and Theatrical at Amazon MGM Studios, and Vernon Sanders, Global Head of Television, at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios.
"We're proud of the series' extraordinary success and couldn't be more excited to partner again with Jenny Han to bring fans an unforgettable next chapter."
