And remember, it’s on RTÉ2 tonight as Prime Time is on RTÉ One.
New or Returning Shows
Michael Portillo’s 200 Years of the Railways, 8.00pm, BBC Two
The fory minister-turned-broadcaster (with a neat line in linen garb) goes on a landmark journey through 200 years of train travel, marking the moment Britain's modern railway was born.
In the first of two programmes, he follows the route of the Stockton and Darlington Railway in north-east England, learning how it proved that railways could work.
He visits key locations in the story of this pioneering railway, including the town of Shildon, from where the train hauled by Locomotion No 1 set off in 1825.
The Sky Arts Awards 2025, 9.00pm, Sky Arts
Presented by comedian, musician and lifelong arts advocate Bill Bailey (below), The Sky Arts Awards returns, once again taking place at the iconic Roundhouse in London.
The ceremony will continue to champion the very best of British and Irish arts and culture, spotlighting creative brilliance across the industry.
Launched last year as an evolution of the South Bank Sky Arts Awards, The Sky Arts Awards honours outstanding achievement across a wide spectrum of artistic disciplines.
It remains the only event in the world that recognises the full breadth of cultural genres with categories including classical music, comedy, dance, film, literature, poetry, opera, popular music, television, theatre and visual arts.
Rich House, Poor House, 8.00pm, Virgin Media One
It's season 3 of this house swap show from Channel 5.
Colin and Lizzy Whiting, who find themselves in the wealthiest 10 percent of Britain, swap their five-bedroom house near Newquay to spend a week living in a two-bed property where Sarah and Ross Timmins live.
The Timmins on the other hand, are among the poorest 10 percent in the country, and survive on a tenth of the weekly budget the Withings have.
New to Stream
Futurama, Disney+
It'a quite remarkable that this show keeps making a comreback. This will be its 13th season - averaging one every two years.
The Matt Groening-created animated sitcom originally ran on Fox from 1999 to 2003, where it was canceled for the first time.
It was then revived through several direct-to-DVD specials from 2007 to 2009, before finding a new home on Comedy Central from 2010 to 2013, where it was canceled again.
In July 2023, Hulu revived the series once more and Disneyy+ is screening it on this side of the Atlantic.
As we reacquaint ourselves with Fry, Bender and co things are just a klittle crazy.
Bender is rampaging out of control, a volcano is about to explode, while Fry confronts a rival for Leela’s love - and Dr. Zoidberg is rising up to heaven.
Don’t Miss
Stacey & Joe, 8.00pm, BBC One
Season 2 of this glimpse into the daily lives of Stacey Solomon, Joe Swash and their five children continues with an episode entitled The Less I Know About Joe, the Better.
Stacey and Joe trade school runs for ski runs in a snowy family adventure, but Joe's big romantic surprise quickly melts into laughter when it goes wrong.
The Great British Bake Off, 8.00pm, Channel 4
The bakers are hoping for a Hollywood handshake this week as they tackle bread, the steely-eyed judge's speciality.
They begin by putting their stamp on a pull-apart monkey bread in the signature challenge, before being asked to make a sticky, messy, fast food technical.
For the showstopper, they serve up sweet bread in tiers. Sadly, for one baker, this will be their last day in the tent. Who will be dusting themselves off and hanging up their apron?
Red Eye, 10.40pm, BBC One
Hard to believe this film is 20 years old now. Or that Cillian Murphy (below) doesn’t rate it. Especially as he’s brilliant in it.
Wes Craven's suspense thriller also stars Rachel McAdams and Brian Cox.
She plays a hotel manager who overcomes her fear of flying and boards a busy late-night flight to Miami, seating herself next to the seemingly friendly man she met in the airport.
But, once the plane leaves the ground, she discovers her fellow passenger is actually a terrorist intent on involving her in an assassination attempt.
The Signalman, 10.00pm, BBC Four
This short film is part of the BBC’s long-running, supernatural anthology series A Ghost Story for Christmas.
Written by Andrew Davies, it's based on the 1866 ghost story of the same name by Charles Dickens and first aired on BBC1 in December 1976.
The late, great Denholm Elliott (above, in Raiders of the Lost Ark) stars in this adaptation of Charles Dickens' ghost story about a lonely signalman haunted by a spectral figure who appears to bring a warning of impending danger.

The Great British Sewing Bee: The Final, 9.00pm, BBC One
It’s definitely a case of sew far, so good for the remaining contestants.
Sewing machines are at the ready as the finalists tackle three challenges in their bid to be crowned this year's winner.
They begin by following the pattern for a deceptively simple bias-cut slip dress, where one mistake in cutting the fabric could cost them the chance to continue.
In the transformation challenge, they make garments using sheer fabric, before finally tackling the art of trompe l'oeil, creating illusions with fabric to fit their chosen friend or family member.
Three finalists, three challenges - but only one will be crowned as the latest champion. Presented, as usual, by Sara Pascoe (above).

His team take on a Marseille side who are playing in this tournament for the third successive campaign, but were eliminated in the third qualifying round last term.
