Search is on for Ireland's Junior Eurovision 2025 contestant

Junior Eurovision Éire is back as host Louise Cantillon embarks on a search across the nation to find a singer to represent Ireland at the song contest later this year.

Hundreds of hopefuls across the country will audition for a chance to impress this year's Junior Eurovision Éire judges and be chosen to compete in-studio.

Out of those ten finalists, one will go on to represent Ireland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the world's biggest singing competition for young people aged 9–14.

The judges for this year's Junior Eurovision Éire are TG4 presenter Niamh Ní Chróinín, 2FM star Hugh Carr, award-winning artist Tadhg Griffin and Eurovision icons Niamh Kavanagh, Linda Martin, and Brooke Scullion.

Over six weeks, Junior Eurovision Éire will follow the journeys of the top ten finalists and will reveal who is chosen as Ireland's official entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025.

The contest will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia in December, and will see Ireland's hopeful go head-to-head with contestants from 14 other European countries.

Last year, Enya Cox Dempsey from Co Kilkenny represented Ireland at Junior Eurovision in Madrid with her catchy, uptempo track Le Chéile.

Georgia's Andria Putkaradze was the winner of the contest with the song To My Mom.

Junior Eurovision Éire airs from Sunday, 21 September at 8.30pm on TG4.
