Pick of the Day

The Traitors Ireland, 9.35pm, RTÉ One

Streaming on RTÉ Player

I remember going to Slane for the then hush-hush press day for The Traitors Ireland back in March and saying that the Irish version of the show would be brilliant.

I was wrong – it's much, much better than that.

The Traitors Ireland round table
This is where the real fun happens!

This promises to be just another run-of-the-mill day at Slane Castle – that is, a mad one - as accusations run rife, the shield divides the group, and an ancient curse wreaks havoc.

Is this the best and most Irish TV show ever?

Afterwards at 10.40pm, Kevin McGahern, along with celebrity guests and players from the show, assess the latest betrayals, mind games and manipulations in The Traitors Ireland Uncloaked.

If you fancy a refresher before tonight’s fun and games, last night’s The Traitors Ireland Uncloaked is on RTÉ2 at 9pm.

Jamie: Eat Yourself Healthy, 8.00pm, Channel 4

This show is one of Jamie Oliver’s best.

Or maybe I'm just biased because I need to get my weight down!

Every week a clearly slimmer Jamie showcases ingredients that are good for the heart, and this episode sees him serving up a steak dinner and fish filo parcels with beans.

He also prepares a green orecchiette pasta packed with broccoli and spinach, oaty fridge balls, and spicy tofu and sweet pepper eggs, as well as investigating the latest gut-health science.
