Actor Orlando Bloom has revealed he has applied for an Irish passport following his split from singer Katy Perry.
The Firework singer and the Pirates of the Caribbean star parted ways in July. They share a daughter called Daisy Dove Bloom.
The 48-year-old, whose grandfather was from Northern Ireland, shared that he wanted to connect with his Irish roots and simplify travel across Europe post-Brexit.
"I'm getting my Irish passport. [My grandfather] was actually from Northern Ireland," he told Ryan Tubridy on UK's Virgin Radio.

Tubridy replied: "And there’s a lot of people from the UK who, after a certain political move, found themselves looking for a granny down the back of the couch."
Bloom laughed and said: "Part of it was actually just for work, like, when I was working in Prague for a while, [there was] a whole bunch of new paperwork."
He added: "And also, I love the fact that I've got Irish heritage. That’s all it is."
Bloom can next be seen in The Cut, which will be released on 5 September, and sees him play a former Irish boxing champion cutting weight for a fight.
