Electric Picnic began in Stradbally with big crowds, some sunshine and headline performances from Chappell Road and Hozier.
Day one saw festival-goers enjoy the sunshine and explore the site before gathering at the main stage for headline sets. Chappell Roan delivered a high-energy performance that drew a huge audience, while Hozier closed the night with a set that had the crowd singing along throughout.
Away from the headliners, the atmosphere was lively across the stages, with fashion, late-night tents and busy DJ sets adding to the sense of occasion.
