"I loved the process of Voodoo Love, from writing it in one sitting to working with Dani and Gav on the recording and production," says Nicolas. "There was an electricity to the whole thing - it just felt right."
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I'm left-handed and play a right-handed guitar. I'm a dreamer. Right now, I'm deeply concerned for the people of Palestine.
How would you describe your music?
It's rock music.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Damon Albarn is inspiring to me. My dad was really into Neil Young, The Beatles and The Pogues, and my mum played a lot of Barry White. Those records were on a lot when I was growing up. One of my first memories of recorded music was hearing Albatross by an early Fleetwood Mac line-up. I remember feeling the presence of the sound in the room.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
It was a Foo Fighters gig.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Random, but it was Michael Jackson's History, in Golden Discs... I’m pretty sure the discs were gold too.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Mangetout by Wet Leg.
Favourite lyric of all time?
"There is a town in north Ontario, With dream comfort memory to spare, And in my mind, I still need a place to go, All my changes were there" - Helpless by Neil Young.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oh, not easy... Varðeldar by Sigur Rós.

Where can people find your music/more information?
All the usual listening platforms. I'm @ivannicolas on Instagram, that’s where I’ll be sharing all my upcoming releases. Thank you.
