Country music star Morgan Wallen will not be submitting his music for consideration at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

The 32-year-old singer, who brought his One Night At a Time European tour to Dublin's 3Arena for two sold-out nights last year, has opted not to submit his latest album, I'm the Problem - which has spent 11 weeks at Number One on the Billboard 200 - for any album categories.

He also won't be submitting individual recordings for categories such as Record of the Year or Best Country Solo Performance.

Wallen’s team confirmed the decision to The Hollywood Reporter but did not provide any further comment on the reason behind it.

Wallen recently spoke out about his controversial exit on Saturday Night Live.

In March the 31-year-old singer was the musical guest when he abruptly left the stage during the traditional end-of-show credits segment.

He was criticised for leaving the broadcast early without acknowledging any of the show's cast members, or host Mikey Madison, who were saying the customary goodbyes to each other on stage, per the weekly sketch show's tradition.

Wallen spoke out about the viral incident during the latest episode of Sundae Conversations with Caleb Pressley.

After Pressley asked Wallen if he could "fix a TV, if it was on SNL," the country singer responded: "I could change it for sure."

Pressley then alluded to his decision to walk off the show in March, asking: "Seriously, SNL, did they make you mad?"

Wallan responded: "No. I was ready to go home. I'd been there all week."

Pressley also brought up Wallen posting a photo of a private jet on his Instagram Stories with the caption, "Get me to God's country," the same night he appeared on SNL, and the singer simply responded, "Yeah," with a smile.

SNL's longest-running cast member Kenan Thompson previously made his thoughts known about Wallen's abrupt exit.

"I don't know what goes through people's minds when they decide to do stuff like that," he told Entertainment Weekly. "I don't know if he understood the assignment or not, or if he was really feeling a certain kind of way."
