Musician, filmmaker and poet Marc Hurtado has teamed up with former Power of Dreams front man Craig Walker on new album, Dream Up A Dream. We asked Marc the BIG questions . . .

Marc has been involved with more than 40 albums and collaborated with Alan Vega, Genesis P-Orridge, Lydia Lunch, Michael Gira.

He has directed more than twenty films which have been the subject of retrospectives and screenings at the MoMA , Cinémathèque Française, Lorcano Festival, FIDMarseille, L'Étrange Festival, Mostra de València and BAFICI in Buenos Aires.

Dublin-born singer/songwriter Craig began his recording career whilst still in his teens with the acclaimed Dublin band Power of Dreams.

In the preceding years he has been a songwriter/frontman for Archive, Them There, Booka Shade, Mineral, Craig Walker and The Cold.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I was born in Morocco in 1962, I live in France, I am a musician, filmmaker, painter and poet, I founded the band Etant Donnés in 1977 with my brother, Eric. I collaborated with Alan Vega, Lydia Lunch, Genesis P. Orridge, Michael Gira, Gabi Delgado, Z'EV, Christophe, Pascal Comelade, John Duncan, Bachir Attar, Mark Cunningham, Vomir and now the great Craig Walker.

How would you describe your music?

I really can't describe it but just give it a colour that is different each time depending on the project and the person I'm working with, it's a music that corresponds to the trembling and the fire of my soul and of the one I'm collaborating with when I'm not working solo . It's the meeting in the sky of two souls that is the true creator.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Wind, rivers, sea, crickets, birds, trains, factories, sirens, machines, cars, trucks...

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Iggy Pop in Paris in 1977.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Lou Reed - Berlin.

What's your favourite song right now?

DAF - Als wär's das letzte Mal.

Favourite lyric of all time?

Lydia Lunch - Stares to Nowhere.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Iggy and the Stooges - Search and Destroy.
