Oasis made a euphoric return to Ireland on Saturday night, uniting 80,000 fans at a sold-out Croke Park with a hit-packed set that marked their first Irish show in 16 years.
Clutching hands as they walked out to F****' in the Bushes, Liam Gallagher in a green Kangol jacket and Noel in a white shirt launched into Hello. The words "It's good to be back" and "We need each other" filled the stadium as the Britpop icons began their show.
The pre-gig mix set the mood with tracks including The Rolling Stones' Start Me Up, Fleetwood Mac's Oh Well and Luke Kelly's version of The Auld Triangle. The latter sparked a mass singalong before the band took the stage to a rapturous reception.
Watch: Oasis take to the stage at Croke Park in front of a roaring crowd
Greeting the 80,000-strong crowd, Liam roared: "Oasis vibes in the area. Dublin vibes in the area.
"We missed you, you lunatics!"
He then quipped: "I think I'm a Croke Park virgin! We haven't played here before, have we? All I do know is this is the soberest I've been in Ireland since I was about four or five or something like that."
Review: The The 'new' Oasis leave Croker in a daze
Fans travelled from across Ireland and abroad for the sold-out show, the first of two at the stadium that will see Oasis play to more than 160,000 people as part of their Oasis Live '25 world tour.
The Gallagher brothers paid tribute to their Irish roots on the night, dedicating Roll with It to their mother Peggy's hometown of Charlestown, Co Mayo.
"Is there anyone here from Mayo, Charlestown?" Liam asked, before joking: "You're not all from there, there's only around five f****** people from there."
Later, he dedicated Stand by Me directly to Peggy, who was in the crowd, blowing kisses towards her seat in the upper tier.

The atmosphere was electric, with Manchester City tops mingling with Dublin GAA jerseys and Oasis-branded Bohemians shirts in a sea of light blue. At one point, the show paused as the stadium broke into a spontaneous "Olé, Olé, Olé" chant.
Support earlier in the evening came from Richard Ashcroft, who brought the house down by downing a pint of Guinness before closing with Bittersweet Symphony, and Cast, fronted by John Power.
Liam signed off in typically cheeky fashion, telling the crowd: "Right, Dublin, you've been the b*******. I have to go to bed like a little princess. Thanks for putting up with us. I know we're hard work."
The night ended on a high with Champagne Supernova, following an encore that also featured The Masterplan, Don't Look Back in Anger and Wonderwall.

The reunion tour comes 16 years after Oasis split in 2009 when Noel walked away following a backstage fight in Paris. Since reuniting, they have already played to sold-out crowds in Cardiff, Manchester, London and Edinburgh, with more dates to follow across North America, Australia, Japan and beyond.
