Alex confronts his mother Melanie in Friday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
The showdown follows Jess's revelation that Melanie cheated on her exams.
"I know you cheat in your exams," says Alex.
"That's ridiculous," replies Melanie.
"You paid for the papers. I know the whole story, so don't even bother denying it," says Alex.
