The Canary Islands native has been living in Ireland for the past six years and she plays Little Whelan's, Dublin on the 11 August.
Speaking about her music, she says, "Often, when I’m reflecting on a feeling, a memory, or an idea - a melody would come into my head with the start of a song. It feels like a small gift, something unexpected.
"I realised that music alone wasn’t always enough to say exactly what I wanted. I wanted to communicate more clearly and deeply. That’s why I studied linguistics and literature - to understand how language works and how to use it better.
"Now, writing original music also helps me organise my thoughts, and music helps me express everything I’m learning and discovering in life."
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I am a Spanish singer songwriter based in Ireland since 2019. I studied linguistics and literature with the purpose of writing better lyrics and I ended up falling with love with both fields. I love going for long walks.
How would you describe your music?
Honest. The lyrics come from a place of reflection and meditation. I have been told that it sounds like the soundtrack of old films. Also, growing up in the Canary Islands allowed me to discover sounds from North Africa, South America and Portugal due to the historical influence of these territories.
Who are your musical inspirations?
The first artist that comes to mind is Burt Bacharach. The way he combined the ordinary aspects of life in lyrics with the beauty of the classical music. I also take a lot of inspiration from singer songwriters such as Cat Stevens, Gabrielle Aplin and Neil Diamond.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
I believe it was Sofia Ellar, a Spanish singer songwriter.
What was the first record you ever bought
I ordered Ed Sheeran’s + when I was 12 years old.
What’s your favourite song right now?
I’ve been listening lately to Skylight by Gabrielle Aplin and God Only Knows by The Beach Boys.
Favourite lyric of all time?
"I only know what I know, the passing years will show, You’ve kept my love so young, so new, And time after time, You’ll hear me say that I’m so lucky to be loving you" - From Time After Time by Frank Sinatra.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head by BJ Thomas.
