Liam Neeson has said making The Naked Gun reboot, in which he stars alongside Pamela Anderson, was "joyful".
The Irish actor leads the film as Frank Drebin Jr, the bumbling, coffee-chugging leader of Police Squad and the son of late comedy legend Leslie Nielsen's detective from the original trio of films.
Anderson plays femme fatale Beth Davenport, who becomes involved with Frank Drebin Jr when he begins investigating her brother's mysterious death.

Neeson and Anderson appeared at the premiere of the film in New York City alongside their sons, Dylan Jagger Lee, Brandon Thomas Lee, Daniel Neeson, and Micheál Neeson.
When asked by The Hollywood Reporter what the best part about collaborating with one another was, Neeson deadpanned: "That was really hard to do, to act together."

Laughing, Anderson said: "It was so much fun. It was such a great project, and what a great way to get to know somebody and laugh every day, just know that you're contributing to something funny."

They were also asked if they ever questioned what they had gotten themselves into with the occasionally outrageous comedy, and Neeson admitted: "There was a few of those, yeah. But it was all still joyful."
Anderson added: "It was fun to be part of something that was just schoolboy humour, schoolgirl humour, and just have a few laughs.
"Everyone likes to have those belly laughs and be silly. I think laughter is medicine, and I think it's much needed."
