Here We Go, 9.00pm, BBC One

The comedy starring Jim Howick, (the great) Alison Steadman and Katherine Parkinson returns for a third run.

On Rachel and Paul's wedding anniversary the family rise to the occasion with an array of gifts including barbeques, an escape room experience and a Bulgarian smart speaker called Tim.

But in order to get to the escape room they have to escape their own house first.

Then Jim develops a rash on what he's choosing to call his 'upper thigh' .

Episode two follows at 9.30pm. New neighbours move in next door and Rachel is determined to befriend them at any cost.

Sue has started bingeing ultraviolent horror movies with her friend Prudence and Paul is beginning to suspect he's getting a reputation for being boring.

8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, 9.00pm, Channel 4

Jimmy Carr (below) once again hosts a combination of the comedy panel show and the long-running words and numbers quiz, with Richard Ayoade and Harriet Dyer taking on Bob Mortimer and Tom Allen.

Regular Countdown mathematician Rachel Riley and lexicographer Susie Dent are on hand to adjudicate, Joe Wilkinson drops in and Ian Smith joins Susie in Dictionary Corner.

Under the Bridge, 9.00pm, UTV

This drama starring Riley Keough launched last year on Apple TV+ and now gets a terrestrial run.

In 1997, 14-year-old Reena Virk attends a party on a quiet island in British Columbia in Canada, and never returns home.

Reena's disappearance intrigues a novelist who has returned to her home town, and finds herself drawn into the hidden world of the teenage suspects. Drama,

Episode two follows at 10pm.

Cam is thrown by a shocking discovery, the police rush to unravel what really happened under the bridge, Josephine makes a deal with Rebecca, and a look into the past reveals Reena's first rebellion.

Whitstable Pearl, 9.00pm, U&Drama

It’s season 3 of the show where Kerry Godliman doubles up as the eponymous Pearl Nolan, a seaside restaurant owner and a private detective.

After seven years, a missing young mum is spotted on Whitstable Beach. Pearl wants to know where she's gone and why she's back.

The Assassin, Prime Video

Here’s a gritty drama starring Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore.

Secluded on a remote Greek island, retired assassin Julie (Hawes) has a somewhat thorny reunion with her estranged son, Edward (Highmore), visiting from England.

Armed with questions around new information on his paternity, Edward battles to find the right time to speak to his frustratingly distant mother.

But, when the moment finally presents itself, things take a deadly turn as Julie’s dangerous past catches up with her and they are forced to flee the island and go on the run together.

Edward's quest for truth clashes with Julie's secrecy whilst they are forced to work together in a fight for survival, testing their dysfunctional relationship to its limits.

In a race against time, Julie fights to save Edward and salvage their relationship as past and present collide in a showdown that girdles the globe.

Happy Gilmore 2, Netflix

It’s been almost 30 years since we last saw Happy Gilmore, the long-driving hero who won the Tour Championship in 1996.

Adam Sandler returns in the lead role, and he’s bringing along a few familiar and fresh faces.

Joining the film alongside Sandler are original Happy Gilmore stars Julie Bowen, Ben Stiller, and Christopher McDonald and brand-new co-star Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (aka Bad Bunny), daughters Sadie and Sunny Sandler, and Blake Clark.

There’s also golfing legend Jack Nicklaus.

Some current professional golfers have joined the roster, too, including John Daly, Paige Spiranac, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau.

Trigger, Netfliix

Here’s a South Korean action-thriller series.

Illegal firearms appear and shooting incidents continue to occur in previously gun-free Korea, and two men pick up their guns for different reasons.

Kraven the Hunter, Sky Cinema Premiere & NOW

This is an action-packed standalone story of how one of Marvel's most iconic villains came to be.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven, a man whose complex relationship with his ruthless gangster father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), starts him down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences.

It motivates him to become not only the greatest hunter in the world, but also one of its most feared.

Vivaldi and Bach at the Proms, 8.00pm, BBC Four

The Proms at the Royal Albert Hall are a great gateway to classical musical music.

Tonight there’s a showcase of baroque music played by virtuosic young violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte, who makes his proms debut, leading his early music ensemble Le Consort.

Together, they present music that includes Summer from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Bach's famous Air from Orchestral Suite No 3 and other compositions that stretched the possibilities for violin music of the era.

Ant-Man and the Wasp, 7.10pm, BBC One

Here’s one of the better Marvel movies, and well worth a look just for Evangeline Lilly’s performance.

Starring alongside Paul Rudd, as Ant-Man, she steals the show as the Wasp.

The story goes that, while Scott Lang balances life as a superhero and a father, Dr Hank Pym and daughter Hope van Dyne present a new mission.

It’s one that finds Ant-Man and the Wasp attempting to uncover secrets from the past, while trying to rescue Hank's wife Janet from the quantum realm.
