Speaking about his new song, Connor says: "Flowers is about the frustration of breaking your own promises. It's about being with someone who sees your true qualities even when you can't and wants the best for you.
"But deep down, there's that fear they might not stick around forever if you keep slipping."
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
Singer-songwriter from East Kilbride, Glasgow. Season ticket holder at Celtic Park. I'm incredibly lucky to be a dog dad to two dogs, Lenny and Bobo.
How would you describe your music?
My music is stories about my life, things that have happened to me, family or friends, and it’s inspired by artists I love like Oasis, Gerry Cinnamon, and Paolo Nutini.
Who are your music inspirations?
As I mentioned, Oasis, Gerry, and Paolo, but a lot more too, from The View to Arctic Monkeys. I love music of so many kinds; a tune is a tune and it all influences my writing.
What was the first gig you went to?
Rod Stewart with my mum, believe it or not, I was aged 12.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Oh man, it was probably Ray Quinn, the swing guy from The X Factor. Random, I know.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Sofa King by Royel Otis.
Favourite lyric of all time?
For what’s done is done and what’s won is won, And what’s lost is lost and gone forever" - The Town I Loved So Well.
If you could listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Through the Echoes by Paolo Nutini. It’s pretty much perfect.
Where can people find your music and more information about you?
All the usual platforms - Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram - and can look out for some shows I have on tour with Kyle Falconer.
