The band are celebrating the 15th anniversary of their 2010 album Everybody Wants To Be On TV, which featured the hit single, This Ain’t A Love Song.
Scouting For Girls have released a new picture disc and zoetrope vinyl formats of the album, which also included the singles Posh Girls, Famous, 1+1 and Little Miss Naughty.
Scouting For Girls’ vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Roy Stride says, "I can’t believe we’re already celebrating the 15th anniversary of our second album, and I’m beyond excited to get back on the road in 2026! It feels like only yesterday that This Ain’t A Love Song went to No 1 in the charts!
"To mark the occasion, we’ve gone all out with a gorgeous picture disc and zoetrope vinyl release - fans are going to love it! There are only 1,000 signed copies, so I hope there’s still one left for me."
The band will release their new album next year.
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
Actor, dancer and part-time drummer.
How would you describe your music?
Indie pop, happy, upbeat fun for you and me. All in the key of C.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Probably have to say Britpop was a major inspiration to all of us.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
My first gig I went to was Ocean Colour Scene at the docklands area in London. It’s not there anymore, it’s just some overpriced two-bedroom flats!
What was the first record you ever bought?
Probably one of the Now compilations. They were like listening to The Chart Show on a Sunday, but without the DJ talking over the end of the song!!
What’s your favourite song right now?
My favourite song at the moment is (insert Scouting For Girls song that’s out now that we’re trying to flog!) it’s brilliant and you should check it out wherever you stream your music.
Favourite lyric of all time?
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no there's no limit, No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no there's no limit, Techno Techno Techno Techno!" - 2 Unlimited.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
To be honest if I can only listen to one song for the rest of my life, I’d probably just give it a miss. It would only get on my nerves after a while.
Where can people find your music/more information?
We’re massive on MySpace and Friends Reunited. But for everything else click here.
