Formerly a trio, the band formed on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean and has evolved since its last album as a duo and is now based in Lorraine in France since last summer.

The band released their debut album in 2017 and the follow-up, High Strung, in 2019,

In 2021, Pamplemousse changed their line-up to a duo and recorded their third album, Think Of It.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

Sarah (drummer): Loves pineapple on pizza. Hates talking into a microphone. Can't resist visiting churches.

How would you describe your music?

Nico (guitar/vocals): A kind of post grunge somewhere between RL Burnside Unsane and George Michael.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Liars, Fugazi, The Gun Club.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Nico: Ziskakan in Saint Denis (Reunion Island - Near Madagascar).

What was the first record you ever bought?

Sarah: Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magic.

What's your favourite song right now?

Nico: Wilco - Pittsburgh.

Favourite lyric of all time?

Sarah and Nico: Get Off my Back by Unsane.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Sarah: Chances by John Frusciante.
