"I feel the EP's quite direct - I’m not that good at hiding how I feel which is why a lot of my songs are quite literal,’" she says.

"There’s sarcastic lyricism, vulnerability, frankness and romance all across this EP. It’s not so much different from my previous music, more of a personal insight to who I am."

Tell us three things about yourself…

I’m a spicy ramen enthusiast.

A diehard Liverpool FC fan and I had a cat when I was growing up called Morientes.

I wrote my first song at 10 years old about God because the only guy I knew who could play the guitar was religious. I had to keep him interested in playing for me…

How would you describe your music?

Sad girl soul jazz with indie undertones for those with too many emotions and too many words to say.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Brittany Howard, Joesef, Olivia Dean, Diana Ross, YEBBA, Marvin Gaye.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

No judgement here please… Jonas Brothers….

What was the first record you ever bought?

Whitney Houston’s Whitney Houston album.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Nice To Each Other - Olivia Dean, it’s been on heavy rotation!

Favourite lyric of all time?

I’ve always loved Amy Winehouse’s Wake Up Alone when she sings, "This face in my dreams seizes my guts, He floods me with dread , Soaked in soul, he swims in my eyes by the bed".

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

George Harrison - My Sweet Lord.
