Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I'm not born in June despite my name but I do love the summer! I used to live abroad so I appreciate the simple things in life like time with family and friends. I like to keep active, ideally with friends.
How would you describe your music?
I like a catchy melody whether it’s dance music or a more acoustic ballad. My songs usually write themselves and I just go with my gut instinct regardless of genre. I love Irish traditional singing and I think this comes across in my voice. I love the contrast of dance or up-tempo music with a vulnerable or emotive tone of voice. I love it when the voice sounds like an instrument in itself.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Dua Lipa. I love her catchy up-tempo melodies. Tate McRae. I love her tone of voice, cadence, rhythm, songwriting and melodies. Ryan Tedder is incredible as a producer for her. Sia. I love her soaring vocals and uplifting song messages. Cian Ducrot and Kodaline. I love their beautiful melodies and emotive tone of voice. Finbar Furey and Moncrieff. They sing from the heart. Olivia Rodrigo and Bruce Springsteen for their melodies and songwriting.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
I can’t remember but I did go to Beyoncé with a group of friends and it was an amazing gig.
What was the first record you ever bought?
I bought Celine Dion and Whitney Houston’s Greatest Hits albums around the same time and I know every word on them!
What’s your favourite song right now?
Greedy by Tate McRae. I also love the acoustic version.
Favourite lyric of all time?
"You can't start a fire worrying about your little world falling apart." Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
High Hopes by Panic at the Disco.
Where can people find your music/more information?
I’m on all streaming platforms and have a website.
