This week's episode, The Journey North, tells the story of the pachyrhinosaurus, one of the largest herd dinosaurs that ever lived, based on an unprecedented discovery in Alberta, Canada.

The story of these huge creatures is told from the perspective of one of the youngest members of a herd.

Death Valley, 8.15pm, BBC One

This fun series continues with a murder mystery event that turns into a real crime scene when a famous Welsh actor and TV detective is found stabbed to death at the dinner table.

Janie's investigation reveals that there’s been a simmering feud between siblings warring over property and their family's legacy.

John rekindles his fledgling romance with the deceased's sister, but gets a hard lesson in the dangers of living in the past.

Later... with Jools Holland, 10.00pm, BBC Two

Taking to the stage at Alexandra Palace Theatre in north London are Self Esteem (below), aka Rebecca Lucy Taylor, who performs tracks from her recent album A Complicated Woman and chats to Jools.

Also appearing are singer-songwriters Tom Odell, Emma-Jean Thackray, Ezra Furman and Greentea Peng, while Elbow frontman Guy Garvey chats to Jools, with the pair performing Hoagy Carmichael's Two Sleepy People.

Imagine, 7.00pm, BBC Four

Remember lockdown? Of course you do . . .

Another chance to see this intimate portrait of an exceptionally gifted musical family in lockdown, the Kanneh-Masons.

Ever since lockdown began, the seven young prodigies aged 10 to 24 have been isolated in the family home in Nottingham, along with their parents Stuart and Kadiatu.

Unable to perform publicly, the family decided to stage a vibrant and eclectic concert in the only place they can - their own home - and granted the BBC exclusive access using fixed rig cameras installed in the house that were remotely operated.

West Side Story, 3.10pm, RTÉ One

The original and still the best – though Steven Speilberg’s remake is hugely impressive.

This is the 1961 film based on Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim's Oscar-winning musical adapted from their own stage production.

The great cast includes Natalie Wood (though it’s Marnie Nixon doing the singing), Richard Beymer, Russ Tamblyn, Rita Moreno and George Chakiris.

sS for the story, well it’s Romeo and Juliet set in New York city in the 1950s.

Two teenagers from rival New York street gangs, the Jets and the Sharks, fall in love - but it causes already simmering tensions to explode.

Skyfall, 9.30pm, RTÉ One

Following on from last night’s screening of Quantum of Solace on UTV, here’s another Bond movie from the Daniel Craig era.

James Bond pursues a mysterious criminal mastermind who has orchestrated a terrorist attack on MI6 headquarters and exposed the identities of undercover agents around the world.

The trail leads to a rogue former operative who has a personal vendetta against the intelligence organisation's leader M - who is also facing calls to retire.

Sam Mendes directs the 23rd instalment in the spy franchise, with a cast that includes Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw.

Saltburn, 10.30pm, BBC One

Director Emerald Fennell – who used to star in Call the Midwife – enjoys a second hit with this comedy thriller starring Barry Keoghan (below) and Jacob Elordi.

Working class Liverpudlian student Oliver Quick is a socially awkward square peg in the polished round hole of Oxford University.

A random act of kindness lavished on dashing aristocrat Felix Catton grants Oliver access to a summer of decadence at his new friend's palatial family estate, and a dangerous cycle of lust and envy.
