Former Talking Heads front man David Byrne has announced the release of his new album and a world tour which includes a date in the 3Arena in Dublin next March.
Who Is The Sky? Will be released on 5 September and is a collaboration with producer Kid Harpoon and Ghost Train Orchestra and features vocals from Paramore's Hayley Williams, The Smile drummer Tom Skinner, and St. Vincent.

The news follows the release of the first official video for Talking Heads classic Psycho Killer starring Irish actress Saoirse Ronan.
Byrne has also released Everybody Laughs, the first single from the album and he will play the 3Arena on 13 March 2025 with tickets, priced from €61.85 to €128.25, go on sale this Friday.
His touring band will comprise 13 musicians, singers and dancers, including members of the American Utopia band, all of whom will be mobile throughout the set.
Who Is the Sky? is Byrne’s first new album since 2018’s acclaimed American Utopia and was produced by the Grammy-winning Kid Harpoon, who recently worked with Irish band Inhaler and has previously worked with Harry Styles and Miley Cyrus.
The 12 songs on the album were arranged by the members of New York-based chamber ensemble Ghost Train Orchestra.
Speaking about Everybody Laughs, Byrne said, "Someone I know said, 'David, you use the word "everybody" a lot.’ I suppose I do that to give an anthropological view of life in New York as we know it.
"Everybody lives, dies, laughs, cries, sleeps and stares at the ceiling. Everybody’s wearing everybody else’s shoes, which not everybody does, but I have done.
"I tried to sing about these things that could be seen as negative in a way balanced by an uplifting feeling from the groove and the melody, especially at the end, when St. Vincent and I are doing a lot of hollering and singing together. Music can do that - hold opposites simultaneously. I realized that when singing with Robyn earlier this year. Her songs are often sad, but the music is joyous."
