Emer Barry has performed with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra on RTÉ Lyric FM and with members of the National Symphony Orchestra on RTÉ One and has portrayed Audrey Hepburn in two sold out shows at the National Concert Hall.

As a soloist tenor Eoin Hynes has performed with the RTÉ CO, NSO and IBO. In 2016,he was the winner of The Soloist with Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland and performed with them on their Nationwide Peace Proms Tour.

Ahead of the ICONIC show, Emer says: "Myself and Eoin know each other since college and I've always been such an admirer of his amazing voice - he’s so humble, you just never expect this big sound to come out!

"We got chatting after a concert a few years ago about our love of Andrew Bocelli and Sarah Brightman and that led us to the decision to team up and put on a concert."

Tickets for ICONIC show concert by Emer Barry and Eoin Hynes are on sale now here.

Tell us three things about yourself?

I’m a classically trained singer from Galway now living in Dublin. I co-own an interior design business with my partner. I released my debut album, Celebration, a few years ago, it was a dream come true.

How would you describe your music?

My music is eclectic, but it’s primarily classical crossover in style.

Who are your musical inspirations?

My musical inspirations are drawn from singers across different genres who have the ability to move me with their voice and musicianship. I love the voices of Mario Lanza, Carlo Bergonzi, Mel Tormé.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

My first proper concert experience was going to see my favourite crossover artist Josh Groban for his All that Echoes Tour at the 3Arena. He is a fantastic performer!

What was the first record you ever bought?

I bought Enya’s The Memory of Trees and it was a cassette in those days.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Avec Le Temps sung by my favourite jazz singer Stacy Kent from her album, I Know I Dream.

Favourite Lyric of all time?

"Life is easy to be scared of, with you I am prepared for what is yet to come, `cause our two hearts will make it easy joining up the pieces, together making one" - Kodaline.

If you could listen to one song for the rest of your life what would it be?

Beautiful City by Stephen Schwartz.

Where can people find your music/more information?

My debut album is available on my website and for anyone who loves the crossover genre, I’m really looking forward to my next concert titled ICONIC with Soprano Emer Barry. Emer and I both love the classical crossover genre and so, the show ICONIC was born.
