This promises to be a heartfelt, feel-good sports comedy about a family and their relationships set within the world of golf.

Owen Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago.

After the collapse of his marriage and getting fired from his job at an Indiana sporting goods store, Pryce hedges his bets, and future, entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenomenon named Santi (Peter Dager).

In addition to Wilson and Dager, the ensemble cast includes Marc Maron, Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay, Judy Greer and Timothy Olyphant.

Andrew Davies reflects on how he turned Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice into the costume drama series that had millions of viewers across the globe gripped.

We won't put it all down to Colin Firth's rear-end, but it did play its part.

He looks back on how he first approached the novel, describing how he got Collin Firth to take a swim in the lake with his shirt on, making one of the most iconic scenes in television history

Followed at 10.15pm by the first three episodes of Pride and Prejudice.

A wealthy eligible bachelor rents a property in Hertfordshire, causing a flurry of anticipation among the ladies of the district.

But it transpires that he also brought along a friend - the haughty and aloof Fitzwilliam Darcy. That’s when the fun really begins.

Little Simz: Live at the BBC, 11.40pm, BBC One

With her new album Lotus out on Friday, Little Simz brings her energy to the legendary Maida Vale Studios, delivering songs from that new record, alongside a few timeless favourites.

She is joined on stage by fellow singer Steven Umoh and musicians Mark Mollison, Morgan Simpson, Marla Mbema and Amané Suganami.

The show is presented by Clara Amfo.

Andrew Davies: Rewriting the Classics, 9.00pm, BBC Four

Apropos of Pride and Prejudice, here's a documentary exploring the creative process of the screenwriter behind some of TV's most acclaimed adaptations of classic literature.

It covers series ranging from the above-mentioned 1995 version of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice to the 2018 dramatisation of Victor Hugo's Les Miserables (above).

He also discusses how to go about transforming sprawling, lengthy and detailed novels into primetime drama, turning one art form into another altogether different one.

With contributions from authors Sarah Waters and Helen Fielding, actors Dominic West and Olivia Colman, and industry figures Jane Tranter and Sue Birtwhistle.

Will Kirk and Dominic Chinea continue their travels around the UK to pick up items for restoring.

In Devon they come across Daisy, the oversized fibreglass dairy cow lantern who has been a fixture at Hemyock Light Parade for a decade but is suffering from the effects of time.

In Swindon, Dom meets Tulsi, who has a Hindu holy scripture passed down from her grandmother that's so fragile it cannot be opened without further damage being caused.

He also meets up with a master craftsman who gives him a few tips on the art of glass cutting.

Race Across the World, 9.00pm, BBC One

With just two more stages to complete, less than seven hours separates the teams, so the pairs are now battling to make the it to the final in pole position.

All they have to do is navigate the Indian state of Maharashtra to reach Panaji, the tiny capital of Goa.

But will they opt for the ferry, followed by a route that avoids the city, or travel by land, on the basis the well-connected city of Mumbai will provide more options for public transport?

The entrepreneur's elevation to the House of Lords and the ongoing controversy regarding her links to a business awarded a PPE contract through the so-called VIP fast-lane during the pandemic.
