Steve Carell heads the cast of Jeese Armstrong's satire Mountainhead, Guy Martin explores Vietnam 50 years on from the war, Pulp are among the performers on Later... with Jools Holland, and Love Island turns ten . . .
Pick of the Day
Mountainhead, 9.00pm, Sky Atlantic
Streaming on NOW
This is a satirical comedy-drama written and directed by Jesse Armstrong (Succession) and starring Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, Cory Michael Smith and Ramy Youssef.
Against the backdrop of an international crisis, Mountainhead sees a group of billionaire tech bros/friends hide away at an opulent mountain retreat in Utah for a game of poker.
But as the getaway unfolds over one wild night, soon this group of frenemies and their varying feelings on the world’s events and how it affects them gives way to something more radical.
Each with their own benefit at heart, the team thinks they can come up with a solution to the world’s problems. But. There’s always a 'but’.
One of them continues to hold out, prompting the others to come up with an extreme, sorry ‘logical’, idea to come out on top.
New or Returning Shows
Our Guy in Vietnam, 9.00pm, Channel 4
On the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, this two-part documentary sees Guy Martin explore the past, present and future of the country.
He sees how Vietnam is still dealing with the effects of the controversial conflict, and how it is planning for a hi-tech future.
Martincharts the history of the war by riding his motorcycle down the famous Ho Chi Minh Trail and visits a Huey helicopter graveyard at an abandoned American combat base.

In an episode called The Art of the Portrait, cameras focus on four historic properties in which portraits have been collected, painted and displayed over the centuries.
They are the Glebe House and Gallery in county Donegal, Kilkenny Castle, Dublin Castle, and Áras an Uachtaráin (above), in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.
Walking with Dinosaurs, 6.25pm, BBC One
The visually stunning series - narrated by Bertie Carvel – continues.
In North Africa 100 million years ago, a spinosaurus father must embark on a dangerous voyage to feed his babies.
He ends up leading his young family across one of the deadliest environments in earth's history.
At the end of their journey, an extraordinary feast awaits - if he can run the gauntlet of predators without his babies becoming someone else's meal.
Death Valley, 8.15pm, BBC One
This fluffy murder-mystery series is a bit of a Welsh Death in Paradise, with the ever-reliable Timothy Spall leading the charm charge as actor-turned-snoop John Church.
In this second episode, a walker is found dead on a Welsh mountain trail, and John's insight into the unidentified woman sets a murder investigation in motion.
Janie ropes a reluctant John into joining her mother's walking group to help solve the case.
Her fierce defence of one of the suspects reveals more about her past, while John finds himself out of the house and enjoying himself a lot more than he's ready to admit.
Later... with Jools Holland, 10.00pm, BBC Two
Taking to the stage this week at the Alexandra Palace Theatre in north London are Pulp (below), who perform two songs from their forthcoming new album More, as well as a classic from their back catalogue.
Also appearing are Swedish band the Hives, Milton Keynes neo-soul singer Nectar Woode and London-based rock group Wunderhorse.
There’ll also be a visit from American singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega, who performs the song Chambermaid from new album Flying with Angels.
She’ll also chat to Jools Holland about her first appearance on the show back in 1997.
Ending Today
Scandinavia with Simon Reeve, 9.00pm, BBC Two
On the last leg of his Scandinavian journey, the much-travelled Simon Reeve (above) heads through the pine forests of Sweden to Copenhagen, the historic capital of Denmark.
He discovers that all is not quite as rosy as it seems and uncovers surprising and sometimes shocking sides of Sweden and Denmark, two of the happiest, wealthiest and most equal countries on Earth.
Sunday Cinema
Tár, 9.30pm, RTÉ One
Not everyone’s cup of tea – geddit? - but I thought this was a stunning slice of cinema when it released a few years ago.
Writer-director Todd Field's drama, starring Cate Blanchett, Noémie Merlant and Nina Hoss is very Nicholas Roeg-like, playing with your head.
It’s also regarded as a study of cancel culture and power dynamics fueled by fame.
Blanchett is fantastic as Lydia Tár, principal conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic, who is poised to begin rehearsals of Mahler's Symphony No 5 with the players.
But when disturbing accusations surface about the maestro and a troubled graduate of her academy, every aspect of Tár's life comes under intense scrutiny.
Sport
The Sunday Game Live, 3,30pm, RTÉ2

Should be a cracking 70 minutes of gaelic football this afternoon as Dublin face Armagh, with the throw-in at 4.00pm.
Joanne Cantwell presents all the action from the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Group Four match at Croke Park.
Dublin reached the quarter-finals last season, while Armagh lifted the Sam Maguire trophy for just the second time in their history.
Both sides will be eager to go all the way this year.
