Who Do You Think You Are? 9.00pm, BBC One

Here’s a sign that Aisling Bea’s star is very much in the ascendancy in the UK entertainment industry.

Aisling Clíodhnadh O'Sullivan - to give her real name - comes from Kildare, so this is a very Irish history lesson as her family tree gets unearthed.

Aisling is expecting a baby and wants to find out about previous generations before she gives birth to the next.

The comedian discovers her family's story is shaped by some of the most significant moments in Irish history.

On one side it's a tale of violent tragedy, female resilience and enterprise. On the other a great grandfather who believed passionately in Irish independence.

Grey's Anatomy, 10.35pm, RTÉ2

Season 21 of Shonda Rhimes’ record-breaking medical drama opens with an episode entitled If Walls Could Talk.

Dr Catherine Fox continues to wreak havoc, threatening to fire all of the interns until Dr Miranda Bailey intervenes and puts her own position on the line.

Elsewhere, Meredith licks her wounds after Catherine's attack on her research with Dr Amelia Shepherd.

A ghost from the past unsettles one of the staff and doctors are presented with unique injuries after a series of accidents at a climate change protest.

Big Zuu and AJ Tracey's Rich Flavours, 9.00pm, Sky Max

In a new culinary adventure, Big Zuu is teaming up with his rapper cousin AJ Tracey for a trip around the world.

Seeking out the most unique, bizarre and expensive dining experiences, the pair will be sampling dishes and immersing themselves in the culture of the area, discovering the customs and stories behind these one-of-a-kind luxury meals.

While on their mission, the duo will be navigating East Asia, North America and Europe in a quest for bonkers luxury, finding out more about the creators and the diners that can’t resist their food.

No delicacies are too strange, no dinner too expensive for these two – as their life on the road sees them push their taste buds to the limit.

The British Blood Scandal: Poisoned at School, 9.00pm, UTV

Medical scandals aren't just an Irish thing. This one from the UK is quite shocking.

Revealing the true stories of the students of The Lord Mayor Treloar School and Hospital, a place where young haemophiliacs were given Factor VIII.

It was a drug they thought was a cure for their condition - but it was actually a death sentence.

Through deeply personal testimony, this documentary pieces together a story of secret clinical trials, medical negligence and the fight for truth at the heart of the worst medical disaster in NHS history.

The Brontës by Anita Rani : Sisters of Disruption, 9.00pm, Sky Arts

Anita Rani presents this exploration of the Brontë sisters and their enduring influence, tracking the impact Anne, Charlotte (below) and Emily have had on millions of readers across the centuries.

Partly autobiographical, this new programme traces Anita’s relationship with the Brontës as she heads back to her hometown of Bradford, recalling her first encounter with them at school and her experience of growing up with the stunning landscape of Haworth and the moors on her doorstep.

Anita also meets fellow Brontë fans and literary experts to discuss how and why these sisters became ground-breaking 'literary disruptors’ whose work still feels relevant and influential today.

This is part of Sky Arts' Sisters of Disruption season.

Super Garden, 7.00pm, RTÉ One

Kildare-based Rosie Alabaster designs a garden for young couple Adrian and Gabriella, and their dog Leo.

Rosie has come up with a strong concept that she hopes will take her to Bord Bia Bloom, a garden inspired by a poem by WB Yeats, Lake Isle of Innisfree.

Rosie will be bringing the lake from the poem to her garden with a large wildlife pond, which will be the most dominant feature of the design.

Virgin Island, 9.00pm, Channel 4

This bizarre series continues.

In a workshop, the group members are asked to strip off and face themselves in the mirror.

The session proves too much for Louise, who reveals painful issues from her past, and encourages Charlotte to reveal her weight-loss surgery.

Zac tries to impress the girls by dishing out compliments. Meanwhile, accountant Dave turns from sceptic to highflyer as he takes on a series of sexual firsts with surrogate-partner therapist Kat.

Eamonn Mallie: Face to Face With, 10.45pm, UTV

This looks interesting.

Eamon Mallie meets up with composer Bill Whelan, who talks about the origins of Riverdance and working with artists including Van Morrison, Kate Bush and Christy Moore.

American Icons, 9.20pm, RTÉ2

Here’s a repeat of a show I certainly missed first time around. The subject matter is a fascinating individual.

It’s a look at the life and work of animator, film-maker and entrepreneur Walt Disney, who gave the world Mickey Mouse, the first feature-length animated movie, Disney theme parks and a series of classic cartoon movies.

Change Your Mind, Change Your Life with Matt and Emma Willis, 10.40pm, BBC One

Psychotherapist Owen O'Kane helps Joanne come to terms with the loss of her husband, who took his own life, leaving her looking for answers she may never find.

Breast cancer survivor Sarah talks to therapist Julia Samuel about the guilt she feels for the strain the illness placed on her family.

Emma and Matt Willis

Driver's mate Ben talks to clinical psychologist Dr Fatoumata Jatta in the hope of making sense of his recent ADHD diagnosis.

Episode four follows at 11.25pm, where the therapists help single father Philip, who is struggling with body image after losing both his legs to an infection and has given up on the idea of finding a partner.

There's also 31-year-old Hannah, who has a fear of vomit which is making her day-to-day life miserable.

Last through the door is first aid trainer Amanda, who feels overwhelmed by her busy life but is sceptical of therapy. However, she has reached the point where she is willing to give it go.
