Alan Cumming hosts the British TV awards ceremony from the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall in London.
Nominees include Rivals and Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light, while performers in the running include Anna Maxwell Martin, Gary Oldman, Lennie James and our own Nicola Coughlan, one of several Irish nominations.
The much-praised Mr Bates vs The Post Office will be receiving the Bafta television special award.

This brand-new series takes a look at 15 of Ireland's National Historic Properties.
They are a collection of castles, country houses, memorial sites and gardens, owned by the State and managed by the Office of Public Works.
This edition features Dublin Castle, Oldbridge House, Derrynane House, and Pearse Museum - St Enda's Park, each one a centre of power.
Unforgotten: The Bradford City Fire, 9.00pm, BBC Two
On May 11, 1985, a fire, believed to have been started by a discarded cigarette or match, engulfed one of the old wooden stands of Bradford City's Valley Parade stadium.
This tragic accident led to the deaths of 56 spectators.
Combining the testimonies of people who survived the fire, family members of those who died, and emergency service first responders, this film seeks to revive the memory of this tragedy
Elaine Paige: 60 Years on Stage, 7.50pm, BBC Four
The musical theatre star chats to Zoe Ball about her career, sharing anecdotes and insights from major West End and Broadway productions she has appeared in, including Hair, Evita, Cats, Chess, Piaf, Anything Goes, Sunset Boulevard and Follies.
As well as stories about meeting royalty, working with Queen and Stephen Sondheim, and the instant fame that winning the much-coveted role of Eva Peron brought her, there are clips of some of the sensational show tunes she made famous.
Elaine Paige Remembers - A Night on the Town follows at 8.50pm, where she reflects on the 1983 musical spectacular, filmed with a star-studded cast of singers and dancers.
A Night on the Town follows at 9.05pm.
First aired in 1983, the musical showcases the work of Irving Berlin, Noel Coward, George Gershwin and Cole Porter, starring Hinton Battle, Lewis Collins, Frank Gorshin, Eartha Kitt, John Moffatt, Elaine Paige (obviously!), Ann Reinking and Bobby Short.
The story is set in the 1980s, where a photographer and an advertising designer trying on clothes in a vintage clothing store find themselves transported back to the 1930s.
At 10.50pm there’s Elaine Paige at the BBC, a selection of performances features Don't Cry for Me Argentina, Memory, and I Know Him So Well.
Elaine Paige: I'm Still Here follows at 11.50pm, offering highlights of the West End star's farewell concert at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2014, in which she sings classics from her career, accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra.
Bibaa & Nicole: Murder in the Park, 9.00pm, Sky Documentaries

As the Covid lockdown eased in June 2020, a group of friends gathered in a London park to celebrate Bibaa Henry's birthday.
As night fell, only Bibaa and her sister Nicole remained, dancing in the park.
When they didn't return home, friends reported them missing, but the police did not act. 36 hours later, their bodies were found by Nicole's partner.
Shockingly, police officers photographed and shared the crime scene images on social media.
This three-part series features interviews with the sisters' mother, Mina Smallman, and their close friends, along with insights from detectives as it pieces together the sisters' final hours, the hunt for a serial killer, and the subsequent police misconduct that followed.
With new evidence and recordings, the series reveals the investigation's details, police attitudes, and the failures that left Bibaa and Nicole’s loved ones fighting for answers.

What's in a name? Well, here's where you find out, as this series sees people go in search of the history of their surname.
The show travels all over the country learning about famous and historical figures as well as the clans that shaped the history of Ireland.
This series will focus on the surnames Mac Gearailt/FitzGerald, Ó Briain/O'Brien, Ó Néill/O'Neill, De Paor/Power, Ó Loingsigh/Lynch and Ó Gallachóir/Gallagher.
In the opening episode, the Mac Gearailt surname - Fitzgerald in English - takes viewers to the Limerick region where Rónán Mac Gearailt a lecturer at ATU, Galway looks into his father's background and of course the Fitzgerald stronghold in that surrounding area.

Chosen by Picture This from hundreds of acts, Kerry nband Simple Things will share the stage with them as they return to their roots to perform an intimate, secret gig at Cork's iconic Crane Lane.
Picture This had plenty of hand-ups along their meteoric rise from the pubs of Athy to sold out arenas all over Europe.
So now they have agreed to be the Secret Headliner, performing a secret gig to an intimate audience in a small venue close to their hearts.
In 2016 they were touring small venues across Ireland. One of the last gigs was Crane Lane in Cork, where a major record label was in attendance.
Signed shortly after, Picture This has always viewed Crane Lane as a turning point in their career. Once again, they'll play to an intimate audience of just 250 people in this very special, secret gig.
Simple Things are Dylan O'Sullivan, Shane Kennedy and Kaelan Cahill, a hard working pop-trad trio from Kerry who are steadily building a fan base across the country - and will soon play support to Picture This again. This time on a much bigger stage.
