Speaking about the track, the band say, "Ivory is about letting go. It's about hearing the same things and seeing the same behaviour but for the first time instead of going back, walking away."
They play the EP launch show on 26 June at The Workmans Cellar in Dublin.
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
Allie: We’re a four piece shoegaze band from Dublin. We’re mainly female and queer, and Sean’s here too. Visuals are a big part of what we do, one time I made Lola paint their arms in blue paint and hug me to get a shot for cover art for our track, Bleed.
How would you describe your music?
Allie: Our music is a blend of dreamy and grungy, we mix a modern take on 90s shoegaze sound with our more chill dream pop influences. We reference My Bloody Valentine and Men I Trust in our music.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Allie: Slowdive are a massive one as well as NewDad and Just Mustard. On the other end of things, Cigarettes after Sex, Men I trust and Puma Blue are all big ones for me. But we all have very different taste, Lola loves CMAT and Orla Gartland. We draw inspiration across genres and it shows in our sound.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Allie: My first gig was Girls Aloud, their reunion tour with my mam and aunt and Lola’s was One Direction and 5SOS, it was historic.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Robyn: The Juno soundtrack, its bright green, and the best record ever.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Lola: Top of the Bill - Gurriers.
Favourite lyric of all time?
Allie: A lyric from Little Green by Joni Mitchell comes to mind, I cried when I first heard this song . . . in class: "Choose her a name she will answer toCall her green and the winters cannot fade her"
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Allie: Definitely something by Slowdive - She Calls. I listen to it daily anyway!
