Speaking about To the End, Steveknievo says: "We wanted to take two tales of ordinary broken people and tell them with grace and humility.
"And Nick Squires' delicate string arrangements, along with the layers of piano and backing vocals, lend these tawdry stories of the everyday human experience a tender grandeur."
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
Morgan: Although I've been living in the UK for over 20 years, Dublin is still home. I’ve been sober for one year and three months. I’m nervous about the upcoming Spinal Tap film in case it spoils the legacy of the original.
How would you describe your music?
Steve: A variable mixture of the considered and the haphazard. By turns thoughtful and irreverent.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Brad: Everything, both good and bad music. I might like elements of a song and sometimes am inspired by an original idea even if the context isn't always masterfully presented.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Morgan: I can’t remember. My father worked in the music game when I was little so I was brought to many gigs when there wasn’t a babysitter around. The first gig I paid my own pocket money to go to was Guns N’ Roses at Slane Castle in 1992, a few weeks before I did my Junior Cert.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Steve: The first Beverley Craven LP on cassette. Brilliant songs.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Brad: Big Cat Tatoos introduced me to Hamish Hawk recently, saw him play a few weeks later.
Favourite lyric of all time?
Morgan: From David Bowie’s Young Americans - "Ain't there one damn song that can make me break down and cry?"
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Steve: Antonio Carlos Jobim’s Insensatez.
