Ben (Jason Schwartzman) is a forty-something cantor losing his voice and possibly his faith.

Imagine, 12.50am, BBC Four

Here's a real treat of a repeat. Rather late, but worth the wait.

It makes use of hundreds of hours of the actor's own archival audio tapes and home-movie footage alongside excerpts from some of his most extraordinary performances on stage and screen.

Covering the breadth of his life and career these extracts shed light on the notoriously private Brando's existence as a talented but tormented performer, and offer an insight into the feelings and fears he hid behind his actorly mask.
