Alicia Silverstone is to reprise her role as Cher in a new TV show version of the 1990s film, that was based on Jane Austen's Emma, but set in a Beverly Hills high school.
A spin-off TV series was released after the success of the film, from 1996 to 1999 without the Blast From The Past star in it, but a Clueless Superbowl ad in 2023 got fans putting the pressure on and calling for a new show.
Reacting to the news the Batman and Robin star said:"Totally buggin' … in the best way."
Television company Peacock has brought a stellar list of writers into the mix, with the original writer and director of the 1995 movie on the team, Gossip Girl and OC writers Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwarz and Freakier Friday's Jordan Weiss.
The production team are keeping the storyline under wraps.as wonder if a 40 something will be sent back to school.
Like the storyline, when filming begins, or the release date has yet to be revealed.
