Pick of the Day

Love My Face, 10.00pm, Channel 4

At a one-of-a-kind clinic in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, disability campaigner Jono Lancaster is doing something quite remarkable.

He’s assembled a team of world-class surgeons and doctors who have come together to help provide cutting-edge care, free of charge, to people who society treats differently because of the way they look.

After nine years of having alopecia, Mia L is aiming to rebuild her confidence, Terry is hoping to get support and talk about possible treatments after experiencing life-changing burns, while Mia R wants to discuss whether or not facial feminisation surgery could be an option for her.

Episode two follows at 11pm, when HR business owner Gary from Derbyshire, diversity and inclusion consultant Tiwonge from Yorkshire and sales assistant Hattie from south Wales visit the clinic.

After living with facial paralysis for 20 years, Gary (above) is hoping to get his smile back, Tiwonge's keen to put an end to hiding a facial scar she got in her teens and Hattie - who's been self-conscious about her nose since she was a child - wants to see if anything can be done about it.

The Search for Michael Gaine, 8.30pm, Virgin Media One

Though Humphrey is only playing a detective, things turn from amateur to professional when the actor playing the victim is found dead with a real knife in his back.

As the duo tackle the crime, they soon unravel a dark past that reveals hidden connections between the actors.

Away from the case, Humphrey and Martha embark on the process of becoming foster parents, while Anne catapults herself into the world of online dating.

New to Stream

No 1 Happy Family USA, Prime Video

Ramy Youssef explores the Muslim American experience once more in this adult-animated series.

It follows the maniacally upbeat Husseins - the most patriotic, most peaceful, and most definitely-not-suspicious Muslim family in post-9/11 "Amreeka."

With satire and absurdity, it redefines finding humor in hardship as they navigate the early 2000s under the watchful eyes of their terrified neighbours.

Ransom Canyon, Netflix

This Western drama series stars Josh Duhamel, Minka Kelly, James Brolin, Eoin Macken, Lizzy Greene, Garrett Wareing, Andrew Liner, Jack Schumacher, Marianly Tejada, and Philip Winchester.

Welcome to Ransom Canyon, where love, loss, and loyalty collide beneath the crimson mesas of Texas Hill Country.

With three ranching family dynasties locked in a contest for control of the land, their lives and legacies are threatened by outside forces intent on destroying their way of life.

At the center of it all is stoic rancher Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel), who is healing from heartbreaking loss and on a quest for vengeance.

Staten’s only glimmer of hope rests in the eyes and heart of Quinn O’Grady (Minka Kelly), longtime family friend and owner of the local dancehall.

But as the battle to save Ransom wages on, a mysterious cowboy drifts into town, dredging up secrets from the past.

Don’t Miss

Invasion of the Body Snatchers, 9.00pm, Sky Arts

A rare screening of Don Siegel's sci-fi classic from 1956, with Kevin McCarthy, Dana Wynter and Carolyn Jones – who is probably best known as Morticia Addams in The Addams Family TV series.

A small California town is infiltrated by sinister alien vegetable pods from outer space, which start to clone the residents and replace them with emotionless replicas.

A local doctor realises something bizarre is going on and sets out to investigate - but is not prepared for what he finds.

Bad Dog Academy, 8.00pm, Channel 4

Chaos follows St Bernards Bodie and Bailey wherever they go - they are destroyers of vases and chasers of cats, squirrels and neighbours.

Trainers Sean and Kamal want to help owner Sam get some control over her fluffy demolition squad.

Plus, Libby and Tom try to calm a dog branded a danger to society by local law enforcement and Michelle tries to rebuild the relationship between a English sheepdog puppy and its owner.

The Newsreader, 11.05pm, RTÉ2

The entertaining Australian drama starring Anna Torv and Sam Reid as two TV news journalists in the 1980s continues with an episode entitled Behind the Front Line.

With the two of them experiencing contrasting points in their careers, Dale embraces his success by hosting a lavish birthday party, while Helen is struggling personally and professionally.

Ending Today

The Apprentice, 9.00pm, BBC One

I thought this was ending last week - but this really is the final episode.

The finalists grasp their last chance to convince Lord Sugar to make them his new partner with a £250,000 investment in their proposed businesses.

Contestants ejected earlier in the series return to help them create brands and advertising campaigns, before they deliver the pitch of their lives to industry experts.

One finalist tries to keep their cool, while the other is determined to prove they can take a slice of the competition.

Then at 10pm, Tom Allen meets the winner on The Apprentice: You’re Hired.

He’ll also joined by mentors Karren Brady and Tim Campbell, along with other special guests to look back over the past 12 weeks of the business-based reality show.

Sport

Scéalta na gCorn, 8.00pm, TG4
